Police are on the hunt for a ‘PH’ driver who allegedly abducted and raped a female passenger on Monday night.
The 29-year-old victim of Carapo, Arima, reported to police that she boarded a silver B14 PH taxi on Monday, between the hours of 12 am and 2 am, in the vicinity of the Arima Velodrome.
After telling the driver where she needed to be taken to, she said the man proceeded away from the route and took her to Blanchisseuse, where she was raped.
She described the driver as being of slim build, dark brown complexion, with long hair.
She was then reportedly taken to another location in the Arima district where she was raped again, before the driver took her home.
The victim, however, made her way to the Arima Police Station where she lodged a report.
Police officers took her to the Arima District Hospital where she was medically examined.
