Police are searching for a Carenage man who stabbed a close male relative during an argument, after the suspect slapped the victim’s 10-year-old daughter.
Around 7.30 pm on Friday, the minor was in the living room at her grandmother’s home at Amowsville, Pt Cumana, Carenage, when she was slapped across the face by the suspect who lives at the same address.
The girl reported the incident to her father who lives in St James and when he arrived, he and the suspect began arguing.
A scuffle ensued and the suspect stabbed the victim in the head with a knife before fleeing the scene.
The 37-old-victim drove himself to the St James Health Facility where he was treated. Investigations are continuing.
