Schoolgirl seen cursing teaching in viral video expelled

The schoolgirl who cursed her teacher, and used abusive and threatening language has been expelled.

The female student of the Siparia East Secondary School, was seen in a viral video disrespecting her teacher.

The girl, who lives in Quarry Village, Siparia, was expelled by the Minister of Education days after she was initially suspended.

The student was accused of the following:
1. Disruptive and unruly behaviour;
2. Use of obscene language towards a teacher;
3. Issuance of verbal threats and use of aggressive and intimidating behaviour towards a teacher; and
4. Gross disrespect towards authority.

Education Minister, Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly said expelling a student is a last resort after all efforts to rehabilitate the child in the education system have had no positive effect on behaviour.
