Runway maintenance work being conducted at Piarco Int’l Airport from tonight

The Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago is advising members of the travelling public that runway maintenance work will be conducted at the Piarco International Airport from tonight.

A release from the authority says the work is expected to last until March 31.

As a result, the authority says that flight operations will be suspended between the hours of 10 pm and 6 am on a nightly basis during that period.

Travellers are therefore advised to liaise with their respective airlines to confirm flight schedules and travel information for the rest of the month.

While the authority apologised for any inconvenience caused, it says this is a necessary part of its airfield rehabilitation and maintenance programme.
