Rio Claro boisman Selwyn John has done it again.
John walked away with the top prize of $30,000 last night, after winning his fourth title at the National Stickfighting Competition.
The event was staged at the Skinner Park, San Fernando.
It was a uneventful win for John, as never had to raise to bois.
His challenger, Daniel Barclay, conceded at the start after suffering an injury to his arm in his semi-final bout against Mark Quashie.
Although Barclay competed in the final, the judges placed him third in the competition, awarding Evon Ralph the runner-up position. Ralph won the 3rd/4th place bout as his competitor, Quashie, conceded the match without a fight.
Anderson Marcano won the Candal Competition, a new category for the Best-Dressed Boisman.
