Police recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested one thief within minutes of a report being made.
Some time on Thursday night, a Toyota Hilux was taken at gunpoint in the Freeport district and the victim notified police.
Quick response from officers of the Freeport, Couva, and Southern Division led to a high speed chase with the suspects, which reportedly ended in Palmyra.
One suspect escaped from the vehicle while the driver was held by police. Investigations are continuing into the incident.
