Public Service Union In St Vincent Warns Of Industrial Action At Argyle International Airport

April 12th is the deadline given by the Public Service Union in St Vincent and the Grenadines for the payment of monies owed to its members at the Argyle International Airport.

The union warns of industrial action if the money is not paid by then.

It recalls the scrapping of planned industrial action a few years.

However, PSC warns the same position will not be taken this time around.

Speaking at a news briefing, PSU President, Elroy Boucher, said the employees  are owed increments dating back to 2016 but have decided to forfeit the payment of the sums for 2016 to 2018.

It explains the 2019 increment which amounted to 1.5 per cent of the workers’ salary, was paid in January this year.

Boucher said  “all of the workers” including junior and senior aviation security officers, supervisors, plumbers and electricians are affected by the wage matter and he is confident about success of planned industrial action on Monday and or on Wednesday.
