A pedestrian was injured during “an unfortunate incident” which involved a Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) bus on Wednesday,
The accident took place in the vicinity of the Curepe lights intersection.
In an official statement on the matter, the PTSC reports:
“Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene and the injured individual received prompt medical attention. Our thoughts are with the affected individual and his loved ones, and we wish him a speedy recovery.”
The PTSC statement also confirmed that an investigation has been launched into the incident.
“We are cooperating fully with the relevant authorities as they conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. As such, the Corporation is unable to provide further details at this time.”
“The safety and well-being of our passengers, pedestrians, and the general public are of paramount importance to the Corporation,” the statement added.
