Private Sector Organisations Express Commitment To Aiding In The Fight Against Crime

Private Sector entities are committed to doing their part in the fight against crime.

This position was put forward by Director of the CARICOM Private Sector Organisation, Andrew Sabga during his contribution at the recently concluded Regional Symposium: Violence As  A Public Health Issue.

Mr Sabga said a whole of society approach is needed in tackling this issue.

Meanwhile, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce Charles Pashley took a more in-depth look into factors that seriously impact society, leading persons into a life of crime.

Mr Pashley noted, however, that while crime increases the cost of doing business, it is not necessarily an economic problem.
