A prison officer attached to the Port of Spain prison, was discovered dead at his home early on Thursday morning.
Shivon Childs of Hermit Avenue, Maloney Gardens, D’Abadie was found around 12:45am, seconds after his family heard a loud explosion.
He was found bleeding from the gunshot wound to the head and his service pistol nearby.
It is reported that he made dinner, spoke to his wife, told her he loved her then took his service Firearm and shot himself.
