Prime Minister Rowley Seeks Legal Advice Following Remarks About His Transactions From Two Opposition Members

Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, says he is in consultation with his lawyers and will be guided accordingly following remarks made by two opposition members, Saddam Hussein and Wade Mark, concerning the filling out of forms to the Integrity Commission on properties and land he owns.

MP for Barataria / San Juan, Saddam Hussein, raised the issue during a political meeting of the United National Congress this week, commenting on transactions of the Prime Minister.

However, speaking at the weekly post cabinet news briefing held at the Diplomatic Centre, St Ann’s, Thursday ,Dr Rowley said over the years he has complied with the law in this matter and will guard his reputation.

The Prime Minister said the remarks made by the opposition members are serious and his responds to them will be based on advice received from his legal experts.
