Freeport woman killed in Hochoy highway collision

A 38-year-old Freeport woman was killed in an accident along the Sir Solomon Hochoy highway on Monday afternoon.

The victim is Azizah Mohammed, of Maingot Trace in Freeport.

Reports state that around 3:45pm, a grey Hyundai Accent was headed south, when in the vicinity of Gasparillo he lost control and crossed the median.

The vehicle crashed into a white Ford Ranger pick-up driven by Mohammed which was headed in a northerly direction of the highway.

Mohammed died at the scene.

The driver of the Honda Accent and a male passenger in his vehicle were taken to the San Fernando General Hospital by the fire services ambulance and hospitalised.
