Two persons were arrested, a stolen vehicle recovered and quantities of ammunition and drugs seized by officers of the North Eastern and Northern Divisions during ongoing anti-crime exercises yesterday.
An Operation Grand Slam Exercise was conducted by officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force between 10:30 am and 1 pm, on Thursday 16th March, 2023.
During the exercise, officers received information relative to a report of motor vehicle larceny which occurred in the Couva district on February 23rd, 2023.
The officers then proceeded to the San Juan district, where they conducted a search and found the white Nissan AD wagon which was reported stolen.
A 40-year-old male suspect of California was arrested in connection with the matter.
