Officers have recovered 11 kilograms of cured marijuana from a makeshift camp in Balandra.
The discovery was made during a joint exercise conducted on Sunday, which included officers from the Northern Division Task Force, Toco and Matelot Police Stations, the Canine Unit, and the Special Investigations Unit.
The team conducted a series of searches in a forested area of Rampanalgas Road off the Toco Main Road.
On proceeding deeper into the area, several persons were seen fleeing from a camp.
Further checks of the site resulted in the finding of the hefty quantity of marijuana.
Officers are continuing investigations.
