This time, six fishermen and two boats were taken.
The men were out in the Gulf of Paria this morning when they were held up. Some of the other fishermen were able to cut their nets and make their way back to shore but the other six were not so lucky.
The men who returned could not confirm whether the pirates were Venezuelan.
President of the Carli Bay Fishing Association Imtiaz Khan confirmed that several boats from both Carli Bay and Orange Valley went out to sea this morning. He said the fishermen from Carli Bay have returned, but the others from Orange Valley have not.
