A 23-year-old man is expected to appear before an Arima Magistrate today, charged with the murder of Kesava Deva, which occurred on Thursday 6th October, 2022.
KYLE BAIN, of Oropune Gardens, Piarco, was also charged with Wounding with Intent and Possession of Firearm and Ammunition, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on Monday 31st October, 2022.
Deva, 25, also of Piarco, was outside his home on Thursday 6th October, 2022, in the company of other persons, when three armed men allegedly exited a vehicle and shot at them. The assailants then fled. The victim died at the scene, while a female victim sustained gunshot wounds during the incident.
A male suspect was arrested on October 23rd, 2022 by officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region Two, in connection with the incident.
Investigations were supervised by ASP Douglas, Insp. Ramjag, W/Insp. Sylvester and Sgt. Radhaykissoon and included officers of the HBI Region Two.
Bain was charged with the offence by PC Mc Queen, also of HBI Region Two, on Monday 31st October, 2022.
