Pfizer vaccine could be made available to the wider public

Health Minister Terrance Deyalsingh says the Government is considering expanding the availability of the Pfizer vaccine to the wider public.

Speaking on Power 102 this morning, Minister Deyalsingh said it was simply a matter of prioritizing the use of the vaccines.

He said the decision however is dependent on the level of vaccine uptake.

Minister Deyalsingh noted that parents have a slim window of time within which to decide if they want their children to be vaccinated as this is the only one currently certified for children and the vaccines have a limited lifespan.
