Persons involved in praedial larceny are being urged to stop the illegal practise.
The appeal comes from Minister of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries, Kazim Hosein.
It came during the question and answer period in the Senate on Tuesday.
The Opposition wanted to know given the temporary closure of the Praedial Larceny Squad Office in Carlsen Field, what measures are being taken to ensure the security needs of farmers in Central Trinidad will be facilitated.
It was revealed refurbishment work started in early January and is expected to come to and end by April month end.
Officers at Carlsen Field County Caroni Office have been temporary relocated to the Craignish Office in Princes Town.
An update was also given on work done from January to March this year in the Central Division to address the problem in term of patrols, visits, reports received and investigations done.
