Paray calls for increased police patrols and CCTV cameras as crime in Mayaro surges

With a worrying up-tick in home invasions, robberies, and assaults in Mayaro, MP Rushton Paray is now calling on those in authority to intensify law enforcement in his constituency.

Paray said recent trends indicate an escalation in criminal activities as the once tranquil area is now experiencing increased threats from armed individuals.

Paray said this rise in criminal activity is rapidly transforming Mayaro into a region of concern, impacting both its residents and its reputation as a welcoming destination for tourists.

He is calling for more officers, vehicles, and CCTV cameras as well as the establishment and equipment of police posts along the eastern coast and in key districts is also essential.
