Padarath calls for the investigation into the TSTT cyber-attack earlier this year to be made public

The Opposition wants the investigation into the cyber-attack earlier this year at state owned Telecommunication Services of Trinidad and Tobago to be made public, tabled in parliament and sent before a joint select committee for probing when it is completed.

Member of Parliament for Princes Town, Barry Padarath, made the appeal while speaking during a news briefing today.

He claimed last month, the Public Utilities Minister said the probe into the development should have been completed in March.

However, MP Padarath said to date no update has been given by the line minister on this issue.

He said due to the seriousness of this matter the time has come for the nation to be informed on the facts.

He also had questions surrounding the terms of reference under which the probe was conducted.

MP Padarath also raised concerns with respect to the reappointment of TSTT board adding why has certain members been retained.
