30.0M allocated to the TTPS for the purchase of new vehicles

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service will soon be expanding its fleet of vehicles from 1,668 to 1,900.

An allocation of $30.0M will assist the TTPS in purchasing the following types of vehicles:

Sport Utility Sedan, Armoured Personnel Carrier and Sport Utility Vehicle.

Additionally, 200 tablets will be outfitted places in po­lice ve­hi­cles for im­me­di­ate ref­er­enc­ing of traf­fic of­fend­ers, 50 dash­board cam­eras, 300 body cam­eras, sur­veil­lance drones, poly­graph equip­ment & drug-test­ing equip­ment for po­lice of­fi­cers.
