Opposition Wants To Know How Much Money Government Spent For Two Caricom Events

The Opposition wants the government to bring to the parliament evidence of the expenditure for the 45th Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM and the 50th anniversary of Caricom.

Senator, Wade Mark, made the request during debate on the public procurement and Disposal of Public Property Bill 2023 on Thursday.

Mr Mark said the nation should be told how the money allocated for the events were spent.

There is also a request from Senator Mark for the government to reveal the name of the suppliers and contractors which were hired for the events.
