PC Sidney Roberts, the police officer accused of killing siblings Simeon and Siniaya Lessey at the Courts Megastore, San Juan last weekend – has been charged with two counts of murder.

PC Roberts, who was last attached to the Justice Protection Programme, is expected to appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate tomorrow – Wednesday, 27th December.

The fatal shooting was the subject of three investigations by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, the Police Complaints Authority and the TTPS Professional Standards Bureau.

In addition to the killing of Simeon, 33, and Siniaya Lessey, 35, Simeon’s wife Kerrey-Ann Moore and family friend Nathan Pierre, were left nursing injuries.
