Former Finance Minister Karen Nunez-Tesheira says the Energy sector and crime was not properly addressed in the Budget read by the Finance Minister on Monday.
She made the comment while sharing her thoughts on the budget.
While she had some concerns with the budget generals she said that there were some bright spots.
Speaking on the Power Breakfast Show this morning she said she was happy to see the minimum wage increased and an announcement that backpay owed to the public servants would be paid.
She also expressed concern with this country’s issues with forex.
She maintained that this is a major problem since foreign investors who do business with T&T want their monies in US dollars.
She said Republic Bank’s recent action indicates how desperate the problem has become.
