No overrun of COVID-19 cases at Sangre Grande Hospital

The Eastern Regional Health Authority has refuted social media reports that there is an overrun of COVID-19 cases at the Sangre Grande Hospital.

In a media release, the ERHA notes that the rumour currently being spread is not true.

It says the Enhanced Health Centre’s General Practitioner’s Clinic was relocated to the hospital on May 1st and 2nd 2021 to facilitate scheduled maintenance work.

The ERHA also assures that the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department is fully functional and has not been relocated to facilitate suspected COVID-19 cases.
