No One Hurt Four Vehicles Damaged After Concrete Falling Incident At Building E Charford Courts POS

No one was hurt during an incident on Sunday in which pieces of concrete and loose debris fell on top of four vehicles from the 5th floor of Building E at Charford Courts in Port of Spain.

The Housing Development Corporation says investigation revealed the concrete slab negatively affected the vehicles to varying degrees, including the doors and windows to some, and the backlights, tailgate and roofs of the others.

HDC explains no works were done prior and/or recently to contribute to the concrete being dislodged.

It says members from the HDC’s Project Management and Health and Safety Teams visited the area, assessed the site and held discussions with those adversely affected.

The HDC is currently working with residents and the Management Company at Charford Courts to bring aid to the community.

It will meet with affected residents within one week to ensure a concerted effort is made to rectify the issue.
