No Bail For Evangelist Charged With Sexual Offences.

An Evangelist from Princes Town was denied bail when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Indira Misir-Gosine at the Princes Town First Magistrates’ Court Tuesday.

The accused, who was charged with two counts of sexual penetration and one count of sexual touching, is due to re-appear in court on October 19^th , 2021.

The 30-year-old man was charged on Monday after the Child Protection Unit conducted investigations into two reports.

One report which was made  August 15^th , 2021, alleged that during the period April 30^th to June 1^st ,2021 ,  the accused placed his mouth on a 15-year-old girl’s private parts and he then placed her mouth on his penis.

Another report made on September 19^th, 2021 alleged that on an unknown date in 2017, a seven-year-old girl was at a church located in Princes Town when the accused touched her on her private parts.

The investigations were supervised by Superintendent Claire Guy-Alleyne and Acting Inspector Khan of the CPU Southern Division, and conducted by Acting Corporal Sinclair and WPC Maison-Marshall.
