NLCB’s financial statements for the last four years are still outstanding

Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, Davendranath Tancoo, says the National Lotteries Control Board needs to get its act together and submit financial statements on time.

The P.A.C. Chairman says the work of the Committee is being affected because of this situation.

Mr Tancoo said the NLCB’s financial statements for the period 2013 to 2017 are still outstanding and this is not acceptable.

Mr Tancoo made the comment after getting an update from NLCB Director, Camille Forde, on the income and expenditure of the state entity for 2019.

NLCB’s Finance Lead Consultant, Wendy Dwarika, said the services of auditing firm Price Water House Coppers was used to cover the period 2013 to 2017.

Meanwhile, PAC member, Jearleen John, proposed some steps NLCB can take to improve its financial recording keeping.
