The Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds, says he is awaiting the outcome of the probe done by the police into the spate of bomb threats issued to schools across the nation earlier today which has led to widespread panic, inconvenience and the early dismissal of thousands of students.
He said the event led to the action by police officers in the special branch and the Bomb Disposal and Clearance Unit, the Cyber Crime Unit and other units of the TTPS and the fire service.
Minister Hinds was asked in the parliament whether the government will seek international help to find out who carried out the act as well as the National Security Council has been convened to discuss this matter.
In his response Mr Hinds said he is not in position to indicate the source of the incident but will rely on the findings of the police.
