MV Cabo Star Undergoing Dry-Docking Until April 25th

The MV Cabo Star is undergoing its statutory dry-docking during the period, April 6TH to 25TH.

The replacement vessel, M.V. Emprendedora,  arrived in Trinidad on Wednesday April 10th  and will commence operations on April 11th , 2024.

This vessel will be taking cargoes – building/construction material, trucks, vans, trucks/trailers, containers and other cargoes to and from Tobago.

The vessel will take cargo only.

Passengers will be accommodated on the passenger ferries.

The expected sailing times of the M.V. Emprendedora will be 2.00pm from Port of Spain and about 4.00am the following day from Tobago, based on the length of the crossing and the loading/off- loading process.

Users of the service will be required to purchase their travel ticket utilizing the FRX system for the M.V. Cabo Star on the day of the sailing.

The M.V Emprendedora will be loaded with all categories of cargoes.

The process for access to the vessel will remain as is – similar to the M.V. Cabo Star.

Truckers/Users will be processed at the GSS Terminals, and await instructions on the Eastern Side of the Terminal- POS or in the vehicle yard – Scarborough, prior to going to the Vessel.

The passenger ferries – the A.P.T. James & the Buccoo Reef will continue to transport vehicles up to 7,000kgs.

However, priority will be given for the transport of food items and pharmaceuticals.

The regular sailing schedule will apply for the passenger ferries.

The Galleons Passage will be available for the transport of vans and trucks on April 15th  from Port of Spain at 9.00am and from Scarborough at 2.00pm.
