Thank you to the government, people and well-wishers, who gave support and words of encouragement during this solemn time.
This was the sentiment of daughter of former and late Prime Minister Basdeo Panday, Mickela Panday, during his funeral service today.
Recounting the life of her father, Mickela described his humble, hardworking and kind nature, his willingness to give advice when asked and his ability to stay focus but have a sense of humour.
She also reviewed some of the accomplishment during his tenure as Prime Minister.
Mickela said her family greatly appreciated the support received from the government during this period.
