Maxwell taking fans on Valentine’s Day cruise to Bahamas

Maxwell is taking to the sea in the inaugural Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite Cruise, kicking off next year.

This 4-night ocean cruise will take place February 10-14, 2024, on the Norwegian Pearl with stops at Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau in the Bahamas. Per the news release: “Guests will be treated to two exclusive performances by Maxwell as well as appearances from special guests including Ledisi, Robert Glasper, Sabrina Claudio, Musiq Soulchild, Leela James, Gallant and more. Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite Cruise promises extraordinary concerts, comedy, parties and more at sea during what will be an unforgettable Valentine’s Day weekend.”

According to a press statement, the Urban Hang Suite cruise will feature comedy shows and parties. The official website lists additional amenities such as a casino, spa, art gallery, and fitness center. Ticketing begins at $999 per person.

The cruise comes off a sold-out 25-date arena run – The NIGHT Tour with Anthony Hamilton and Joe.

Meanwhile, VIBE reports that Maxwell is gearing up to release blacksummers’NIGHT — the final album of blacksummers’ night trilogy — under his imprint, Musze with BMG.

“I will tell them that I hope that they make so much love. If they’re about trying to have babies, make them. I am so tired of hate,” Maxwell told VIBE about the upcoming project.

“I see it every day. We experience it digitally every single moment of the day. It’s almost to the point where it’s like, ugh! Enough! So, my goal is to bring that love. To bring that universal love, to bring that Black love, that Brown love, that Latin love, that Caribbean love, that African love. Love. L-O-V-E-E-E-E. That’s what I want people to do,” the singer continued.

“We have been through so much. People have lost a lot of people. We are polarized in so many different ways. I’m not here to get into the who’s right and who’s wrong part. People know where I stand and how I do what I do, but this new album is about celebrating love. So, get the chocolate out, get the wine, get the champagne, whatever you got to get, flowers, roses, petals. Write her name out and you know,” Maxwell said.
