A 30-year-old man was gunned down in his car in San Fernando on Monday afternoon.
Renako Pierre, of Rushworth Street, San Fernando, was driving a black Toyota Aqua along Dottin Street, when the driver of another vehicle began following him and the occupants of that car opened fire.
Pierre was shot several times shortly after 2 pm.
He eventually crashed at the corner of Fonrose and June Streets.
There were more than a dozen gunshots on the driver’s side window.
Police retrieved 32 spent shells at the scene.
There was an attempt to kill Pierre in September 2023.
In that incident, Pierre was driving along Lisas Boulevard, Point Lisas, with his common-law wife Denise Mendoza and his eight-year-old son when several shots were fired at the vehicle. Mendoza died while Pierre and his son were wounded.
Police are conducting enquiries into this latest murder.
