An anti-crime exercise conducted by officers in Port of Spain has led to the arrest of one man and the seizure of a quantity of marijuana.
The exercise was conducted during the period 12pm midday and 5:54pm on Friday 14th June, 2024, spearheaded by Superintendent Etienne and supervised by Insp Lazarus and included officers of the Criminal Investigations Department Task Force, Inter Agency Task Force, Air Support, Stolen Vehicles Squad, Municipal Task Force and Mounted and K-9 Branch.
During the exercise officers proceeded to Beetham Gardens, Port of Spain area, where a man was arrested for Possession of Marijuana for the purpose of trafficking within 500 meters of Success Laventille Composite Secondary School. The drug weighed 500 grams.
Investigations are ongoing.
