Ghetto Flex passes away

On the heels of the shocking passing of Naparima Bowl CEO and performer Marlon De Bique, now comes word that the soca fraternity is mourning the loss of Hilton Dalzell Jr, better known as Ghetto Flex.

The circumstances surrounding Flex’s death is uncertain at this time.

Dalzell was known for songs like Rock Ya Body and Wine and Bend Over with Denise Belfon and Soca Daddy.

Fay Ann Lyons Alvarez was among the first to pay tribute.

On her Instagram page, she posted an image of Ghetto Flex with the words, “Another RIP to an artiste that gave significantly to the industry. We have lost another. Rest in peace Ghetto Flex. Those who were able to have seen and experienced your energy! Your music lives”

Dalzell was born on September 14, 1972, and started his journey at the tender age of five guided by his father Hilton Senior, an experienced singer-songwriter.
