Man and woman in stable condition after vehicle shot at in St Augustine

A shooting incident at College Road Extension in St Augustine on Wednesday night has left a man and a woman nursing gunshot wounds.

Around 9:30pm, a 38-year-old man said he was driving his grey Nissan B14 along College Road Extension when he heard loud explosions.

As he drove off, he felt a burning sensation on both hands and saw blood coming from his fingers.

The vehicle’s passenger, a 20-year-old woman, was treated for a graze to her head and the right side of her face.

The man called a nearby relative who drove the bleeding couple to the hospital.

Both victims are in stable condition as of Thursday morning.

Officers of the North Central Division Task Force visited the scene and found the B14 with several bullet holes.

The car was towed to the St Joseph police station for further enquiries.
