Katzenjammers, BP Renegades take the lead in Medium and Large bands Panorama

Katzenjammers of Black Rock, Tobago, has topped the Panorama medium band semi-finals and will be heading to the final round of competition.

Playing the selection ‘Tell Me Why’, Katzenjammers were able to garner 282 points, while the second placed NGC Couva Joylanders, scored 279 with ‘The Fete Ent Over Yet.’

Sforzata finished third with the song ‘Johnny.’

The other two Tobago bands, Dixieland Steel Orchestra and NGC Steel Xplosion have also advanced to the finals which will be held on the sister isle on February 4th at Dwight Yorke Stadium, Tobago.

BP Renegades, arranged by Tobagonian Duvone Stewart, topped the large conventional category in a close finish with Massy Trinidad All Stars.

Renegades played Mical Teja’s “DNA” and scored 282 points while All Stars, who played ‘Inventor’ by Olatunji, placed second with 281 points.

Republic Bank Exodus finished the semis in third place, while the fourth was a four-way tie, which went to T&TEC Tropical Angel Harps, Shell Invaders, Proman Starlift and Desperadoes.
