Opposition Leader Kamla Persad Bissessar has called Reginald Armour a disgrace and shameless liar.
Via a release sent yesterday she said that he should leave no stone unturned to recover the money he has cost the state for his lying on affidavit in a Miami court.
The legal fee kickback case against former attorney general Anand Ramlogan, SC, and former opposition senator Gerald Ramdeen has collapsed due to potential delays in the State’s main witness giving evidence.
The decision to discontinue the corruption charges against the duo was announced by Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Roger Gaspard, SC, as their case came up for virtual hearing before Chief Magistrate Maria Busby-Earle-Caddle, yesterday afternoon.
Attorney General, Reginald Armour, assured he would consider every available avenue to protect the public’s interests, including – but not limited to – civil proceedings to recover any possible proceeds of the crimes allegedly committed by former AG Anand Ramlogan and former Opposition Senator Gerald Ramdeen.
Persad – Bissessar said citizens should “ignore this lying and disgraced flop Attorney General because he may not even remember his press statement by next week”.
The Opposition Leader insisted that Reginald Armour is a laughingstock who should be ignored.
