Judiciary apologises for delayed maintenance payments

The Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago has apologised to members of the public who receive maintenance payments.

In a public notice, it announced that they have been experiencing problems making those payments but soon people will be able to again have cash payments at NLCB lotto booths.

This will allow for funds to be sent to the custodial bank account quicker.

The Judiciary wrote that it is also exploring a further option for pay-outs to be faster.

It also took full responsibility for not answering the hotline, as the staff was inundated with calls.

The Judiciary added that it’s doing everything to get things in place.
