Jamiaca records additional Monkeypox case

Jamaica recorded one additional case of the monkeypox virus for the period ending Sunday, October 23, bringing the country’s virus toll to 15, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

There are, however, only two active cases of the virus on the island.

Twelve people have reportedly recovered from the virus since the first case was recorded on the island back in July.

One death is under investigation, the Health Ministry said. Five monkeypox patients are currently in home quarantine.
