Hunters and volunteers join search for Andrea

Members of the Hunters Association have joined the search for missing Arima clerk, Andrea Bharatt.

The group was granted permission on Monday and issued a public appeal last evening, calling all hunters, hikers and volunteers out to the search.

Volunteers were asked to gather at the Sangre Grande Police Station at 6am.

It is hoped that their hunting skills will be an asset to the joint team of police officers and soldiers who are searching terrain they are unaccustomed to.

The team of police officers and soldiers searched a three-mile radius in the forest around CroCrobar Road and Fishing Pong, Sangre Grande on Monday.

But Bharatt was not found.

Since the investigations began into Bharatt’s disappearance, five men have been detained.
