The National Security Minister should ensure that all arms of law enforcement come together to create a plan to address the crime scourge in Trinidad and Tobago.
This is the view of UNC’s Shadow Minister of National Security Jyanti Lutchmedial.
She told News Power Now this morning that a crime plan was indeed necessary not only to address increasing violent crime in T&T but also to alleviate the understandable concerns of the population.
She was at the time commenting on the National security Minister’s comments that it was not his job to develop a crime plan.
While she acknowledged the role of the protective services in the process of declaring a state of emergency, she insisted it was the job of the National security Minister to get the arms of law enforcement to come together to have discussions on the issue.
