Hazardous Seas Alert To End At 8am Today

The hazardous seas alert is scheduled to come to an end at 8am today.

It was issued at 2pm Saturday.

Northerly long period swells are presently affecting the Northern and north-eastern coastlines of Trinidad and Tobago.

These swells can result in battering waves at coastal regions and can be exacerbated during high tides.

Nearshore activities (fishing, sea bathing, mooring of boats etc.) can be adversely affected.

All marine interests should monitor sea conditions and exercise caution along affected areas.

Limit marine activities where possible.
