Hazardous Seas Alert in place from today

A Yellow Level Hazardous Seas Alert will come into effect from 2pm today, Tuesday 12th March 2024.

The Met Service says northerly long period swells are expected to affect the coastlines of Trinidad and Tobago.

It adds that while the effect will not be continuous over the period, the presence of spring tides will amplify the situation, resulting in occasional battering coastal waves, especially during high tides.

The Alert will remain in place until 8:30am on Friday 15th March 2024.
