Approximately $2 million in funding will be provided to the Tobago Festivals Commission for a Carnival event later this year.
CEO of the Festival Commission, John Arnold, revealed that the money was approved by the Tobago House of Assembly.
In a recent interview, Arnold could not say when the money would be released but he assured that the $2 million will be shared among five stakeholders, among them, Pan Trinbago, TUCO and the Mas Leaders’ Association.
Arnold said “We are also doing something with the new Tobago Soca Monarch. So all of these entities are involved in this virtual presentation package we are putting together.”
Arnold said the presentations will be filmed and shown at a later date.
