Government indicates given this country’s population size, the only way to achieve continued growth is to export to extra regional markets.
Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, says these markets must be sourced, relationships built and opportunities taken.
In this regard, Dr Rowley notes the government has already been doing its part to create strategic partnerships which he claimed are already bearing fruits for the private sector.
The remarks were made at the Official Ribbon Cutting for Line 7 at Carib Brewery Limited’s New State Of The Art Bottling Line on Tuesday.
Dr Rowley said this is being undertaken through the establishment of Commercial Offices and appointment of Commercial Attachés at key locations.
This will assist exporters in overcoming trade barriers, entering new markets, and forging new business relationships in their respective markets.
