The Non-governmental group, Give Our Animals Love, plans to take legal action against the San Fernando City Corporation over concerns with what it describes as the unlawful euthanization of animals.
Founder of the group, Jowelle De Souza, in a New Power Now interview this morning, said discussions have been held with the executive members of the corporation on this issue in the past.
De Souza suggested a policy be put in place which allows owners of dogs to collect the animals in five to seven days, as she claimed this week dogs were euthanized in two hours after they were picked up by the authorities.
De Souza said the group will bring this matter to the attention of the court.
