Prior to the presentation of the budget, Head of the Tobago Business Chamber Martin George called the THA Budget presentation as an illusion as every year they “approach Central Government with a begging bowl’ but are given considerably less than requested, and have to make do.
He said that what Tobago operates on now are mere handouts by the Central Government.
The Chamber Head noted this does nothing to encourage self-sustainability of the sister isle.
George stated that there’s no accountability or fiscal management of funds that seems to be required.
