Ameen: Gov’t must deliver on promise to provide 100 officers to 14 regional corporations

The government is urged to deliver on the promise made since 2015 to allocate one hundred police officers to each of the fourteen regional corporations in the country.

Member of Parliament for St Augustus, Khadijah Ameen, made the appeal while contributing to the Budget Debate in the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

Ms Ameen said the realisation of this promise should be treated with a level of urgency.

The St Augustine MP also spoke about challenges in the garbage collection system adding due to inefficiency the regional corporations have had to allocate resources to address the situation.
