George says Farley Augustine must be careful not to be overconfident ahead of next gen. election

Head of the Tobago Chamber Martin George has commented on Farley Augustine’s refusal to be aligned with the United National Congress.

Augustine said that despite the Opposition’s vocal support toward him, the only real support he wanted from the UNC was for constitutional reform in the Parliament when the Tobago autonomy bills were debated.

The support for the THA leader has been coming mainly from UNC Political Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar while campaigning for the Local Government Elections after the relations between Augustine and Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley deteriorated.

George insinuated that Mr Augustine was being a bit over confident given the fact that a lot could happen in the two years leading up to the general elections.
